SECTION A

It is the first part of AMIE.If you are a diploma holder, you should study 4 subjects in Section A . The 4 subjects in Section A are general engineering subjects. You can see syllabus here.

                     SECTION B

After passing Section A, you get admitted to Section B. Its in Section B that you select your choicest branch of engineering. In section B you must study  Nine subjects (excuding lab and project work) .

          Hence , a Diploma holder should study 4+9=13 subjects in AMIE.

 

If you are a +2 or equivalent holder, you should study  10 subjects in Section A, and Nine subjects (excluding lab and project work) in section B.
